Folded, ZIP Pro measures just 115 × 97 × 44 mm. Open it, adjust the angle, and a bedroom wall, hotel room, campsite, creative workspace, or game room can become a big-screen setup—without carrying a separate projector stand.

Still tri-fold. Now Full HD.

A Tri-Fold Portable Projector That Becomes Its Own Stand

Most portable projectors still need a tripod, stack of books, or another accessory to reach the right height. ZIP Pro takes a different approach. Its Z-shaped tri-fold body combines the projector, adjustable support, and stable base in one structure.

The projector folds into a compact block for storage, then opens into a self-supporting setup with adjustable viewing angles. It can be used for front, rear, ceiling, rear-ceiling, horizontal, and portrait projection.

That flexibility is useful in spaces where a permanent projector setup is not practical. Place ZIP Pro on a nightstand for ceiling viewing, unfold it on a hotel desk, or adjust it on a table for a presentation or creative project.

Native 1080p Full HD in a Pocket-Size DLP Projector

Small projectors often trade image detail for portability. ZIP Pro moves beyond the 720p resolution of the original ZIP with a native 1920 × 1080 DLP imaging system.

The higher native resolution makes subtitles, menus, presentation text, game interfaces, and fine visual details easier to read on a larger screen. Its 200 ANSI lumens of brightness also doubles the rated output of the original ZIP.

For the clearest and most balanced image, Aurzen recommends a 60–80-inch screen in a dark environment. ZIP Pro can create images up to 115 inches, but—as with any 200-ANSI-lumen portable projector—reducing ambient light will produce better contrast and color.

ZIP Pro is therefore best suited to bedrooms at night, dark hotel rooms, tents, RVs, shaded outdoor spaces after sunset, and other light-controlled environments rather than daytime viewing in a brightly lit room.

The 10.7mm Optical Engine Behind the Compact Design

Fitting Full HD projection into a tri-fold body required more than making the outer shell smaller. Aurzen developed a 10.7mm ultra-slim optical engine designed around three competing demands: light output, thermal control, and internal space.

The 10.7mm Optical Engine Behind the Compact Design

This compact optical architecture allows the projection system to sit inside ZIP Pro’s 44mm folded body while leaving room for its battery, cooling system, speakers, wireless hardware, and touch controls.

The result is a Full HD portable projector that remains compact enough for a backpack, carry-on, or everyday tech bag.

Fast Focus and Flexible Image Alignment

Portable projection often means setting up on surfaces that are not perfectly centered or level. ZIP Pro uses ToF Zero-Lag Auto Focus to detect projection distance and bring the image into focus quickly.

Four-point keystone correction provides additional control over image geometry when the projector is positioned at an angle. Together, these tools make it easier to set up the projector from the front, side, or near a ceiling.

Automatic adjustment can reduce setup time, although manual correction may still be useful on uneven surfaces or at more extreme projection angles.

Wireless Casting and USB-C Video Input

ZIP Pro is built around the devices people already carry. It supports wireless casting as well as direct USB-C video input, giving users more than one way to move content from a phone, tablet, laptop, or compatible gaming device to the big screen.

Wireless Casting and USB-C Video Input

Wireless Screen Mirroring

Compatible devices can connect through AirPlay P2P, Miracast, DLNA, Google Cast, and AirLink. P2P mirroring also allows compatible iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices to project without joining an external Wi-Fi network.

Wireless compatibility depends on the device, operating system, application, and network environment. Some AirLink configurations may require the optional CastPlay Pro accessory.

One-Cable USB-C Projection

The dedicated USB-C video port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode for a stable wired connection from compatible phones, tablets, and laptops. Wired projection can reduce wireless delay and may also provide a better option for content protected by digital rights management.

A USB-C connector alone does not guarantee video output. The source device must specifically support DisplayPort Alt Mode.

Direct Connection for Portable Gaming

ZIP Pro can connect directly to a compatible Nintendo Switch through USB-C DP Alt Mode, removing the need for a separate dock in supported setups. Its stated 20–40ms response time makes it suitable for casual big-screen gaming while traveling or at home.

Does ZIP Pro Have Built-In Streaming Apps?

ZIP Pro uses a Linux-based screen-mirroring system rather than a streaming-first TV operating system. Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, and other streaming apps are therefore played from a compatible connected device instead of being installed directly on the projector.

Some streaming services restrict wireless mirroring because of DRM policies. For protected content, a compatible USB-C device with DisplayPort Alt Mode and a wired connection may provide the more reliable option. App subscriptions are not included.

A Battery-Powered Projector for Up to 2.5 Hours

ZIP Pro contains a 38Wh built-in battery rated for up to 150 minutes of playback in ECO Mode—67% longer than the original ZIP. That is enough for many movies, gaming sessions, presentations, or tutorial-based creative projects without connecting to a wall outlet.

When more power is needed, ZIP Pro supports 65W+ USB-C PD fast charging. A compatible 65W+ PD power source can also support charging while the projector is in use. Compatible lower-wattage power banks may provide power but might not charge the battery during playback.

Actual battery life depends on brightness, sound volume, wireless connections, connected devices, and projection mode.

Private Listening, Built-In Sound, and Touch Controls

ZIP Pro includes dual 2W stereo speakers for everyday viewing. For a larger soundstage, it can send audio to a compatible Bluetooth speaker or supported vehicle audio system.

Dual Bluetooth headphone support allows two people to listen privately at the same time—a practical feature for shared hotel rooms, late-night bedroom viewing, or quiet spaces.

A built-in smart touch display shows information such as battery and connection status while providing quick access to projector controls. The AurzenHub app can also turn a phone into a remote for playback, settings, and display personalization.

Operating noise is rated as low as 24dB in ECO Mode and 28dB in Normal Mode, helping keep the cooling system less noticeable during quiet scenes.

Where ZIP Pro Fits Best

Travel and Hotel Rooms

Pack one projector instead of a projector-and-tripod combination. ZIP Pro can turn an open hotel wall into a personal screen without relying on the hotel television or its available inputs.

Bedroom and Ceiling Projection

The folding structure makes it easy to adjust the projection angle from a nightstand or bedside table. Ceiling projection provides a relaxed viewing option without adding a permanent mount.

Camping and Outdoor Movie Nights

A built-in battery, compact shape, and power-bank support make ZIP Pro useful for campsites, RV trips, patios, and outdoor gatherings after dark. A shaded or low-light setup will produce a much better image than daytime use.

Portable Gaming

USB-C video input allows compatible gaming devices to connect without relying on Wi-Fi. This makes ZIP Pro a practical portable gaming projector for casual play in bedrooms, hotel rooms, and shared spaces.

Sewing, Crafts, and Creative Work

ZIP Pro can project patterns, references, tutorials, and design layouts onto different surfaces. Its portrait mode, adjustable structure, and Full HD resolution are particularly useful when clear lines and readable details matter.

Presentations and Mobile Work

Connect a compatible laptop or tablet through USB-C and display slides, documents, or visual concepts without carrying a full-size projector. For best visibility, use it in a room where the lighting can be reduced.

Who Is ZIP Pro For?

ZIP Pro makes the most sense for someone who wants:

  • A native 1080p portable projector that fits easily into a travel bag
  • A built-in stand with flexible projection angles
  • A battery-powered projector for movies, gaming, or creative work
  • USB-C video input for compatible phones, tablets, laptops, or gaming devices
  • Ceiling and portrait projection without installing a permanent mount
  • Private viewing with two Bluetooth headphones

It is less suited to bright daytime rooms or buyers who want a projector with streaming apps installed directly on the device. Before purchasing, confirm that any phone, tablet, or laptop you plan to connect supports the required casting standard or USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode.

Aurzen ZIP Pro FAQ

What is the Aurzen ZIP Pro?

Aurzen ZIP Pro is a tri-fold Full HD portable projector with native 1080p DLP projection, 200 ANSI lumens, a built-in battery, wireless casting, and USB-C video input. Its folding structure also works as an adjustable projector stand.

Is ZIP Pro a native 1080p projector?

Yes. ZIP Pro has a native resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. It does not simply accept a 1080p signal and downscale it to 720p.

Is ZIP Pro bright enough for daytime use?

ZIP Pro is rated at 200 ANSI lumens and is designed primarily for dark or light-controlled environments. It will produce its best picture at night or in a room with curtains closed rather than in direct daylight.

What is the best screen size for ZIP Pro?

Aurzen recommends a 60–80-inch image in a dark environment for the best balance of brightness, clarity, and Full HD detail. The projector supports image sizes from approximately 20 to 115 inches.

Can ZIP Pro work without Wi-Fi?

Yes. Compatible iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices can use P2P screen mirroring without an external Wi-Fi network. A compatible USB-C device can also connect directly through DisplayPort Alt Mode.

Can I connect an iPhone to ZIP Pro?

Compatible iPhones can connect through AirPlay P2P or supported wireless casting accessories. USB-C iPhone models may also use a wired connection if the phone, cable, and application support external video output.

Can ZIP Pro play Netflix?

ZIP Pro does not have Netflix installed as a native app. Netflix and other DRM-protected services may restrict wireless mirroring. A compatible USB-C device with DisplayPort Alt Mode and a wired connection may offer a more reliable playback method, subject to the device and app’s policies.

How long does the ZIP Pro battery last?

The built-in 38Wh battery provides up to 2.5 hours of playback in ECO Mode under laboratory conditions. Higher brightness, louder audio, wireless connections, and attached devices may reduce runtime.

Can ZIP Pro connect directly to a Nintendo Switch?

ZIP Pro supports direct USB-C projection from compatible Nintendo Switch setups through DisplayPort Alt Mode, allowing portable gaming without a separate dock. Compatibility may vary by device configuration.

Is ZIP Pro worth upgrading to from ZIP?

ZIP Pro is the stronger upgrade if you want native 1080p resolution, twice the rated brightness, longer battery life, 65W+ charging, USB-C video input, 4-point keystone correction, and dual Bluetooth headphone support. The original ZIP remains lighter and more compact.
